Host a game but people hardly join

I don't know if anybody has the same problem. I have a linksys router and I am able to host games by opening the port 6112. Now my problem is every time I host a game, I hardly get anybody to join my game. My friend told me that my game is ALWAYS on the bottom of the game list (either last from bottom for second from last). I think that is the reason why people don't seem to join the game. Initially I thought maybe the more game I host, my game would get up on the list.. but it doesn't seemed that way. My friend has never hosted a game and gave it a try the other day (without router), his game was like #2 from top.
Did anybody experience the same problem.. Can anyone help me?
Thank you.

This problem is caused by your Windows regional setting being set to something other than "English (United States)", and it usually happens to Canadian players. Go to the Control Panel, double-click on Regional and Language Settings and make sure the top-most drop-down box says "English (United States)".

I just tried it but it did not work. My game is still show up last in the list. Any other ideas?

does anybody else experience the same thing? It really bothers me because when i host a game, i have to wait a long time for people to come, simply because my game is all the way at the bottom. If people do come, they ran out of patience waiting for others to join...
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Correction to my previos comment. Even though my game is still on the bottom of the list as my friend told me. I got more people joining my game when i host after i changed the regional setting back to U.S. Maybe I am just lucky for 1 day.. I don't know.. but a great thank to NegotiatorSmith for helping me out.

Hi pr3ditor,
Basically what I did is log on to the linksys admin utility (on web browser, type 192.168.1.1) if you haven't make any change, you should have admin as user and no password.
this should take you in. You then have to click the advance tab and go to the port forwarding tab. you will need to enter a warcraft entry under "customized application"
just name anything you want, make sure TCP is checked and put the port 6112 for both fields and make sure port 6112 is pointing to your host machine's ip address.
I don't know if it would work if you have DHCP turn on. But I know it will definitely work when you use a static ip on your hosting computer. I hope that helps.
You can probably find tons of urls out there that will help you configure your router too.
this link is helpful.. just select your model and go from there.

good luck

Hei Hei Now listen to me!!First You must sure your Connect Internet Company Opened the 6112-6119 ports...And You have to open these ports in your router!!!!..If U did that..BUt still not host in the battle...You can Change your port in the game...For example ...My Cable company is Time Warner..And i called it to open my 6112-6119 ports..and they did that...BUt then i still not to host in the battle net..but the 6112-6119 ports sure opened .. So I'm change the game port.6112 to 6113..SO now I can host in the battle net.!!You can try to called your ISP company
