ok, i have no idea how this came about, but for some weird reason my passwords aren't being saved at all. i have to retype my password when needed when i visit a site even if i select save my info or save password. it's getting really frustrating and annoying. can someone please help me? i have IE6 and Windows XP.

-thanks

is the save youre trying to use a site feature, or xp?

Posted by: Teresa

i think its a site feature because it doesn't really affect xp

If there is a "Remember my password" option select it when entering the password.

Check your security settings. You might have it on high, which deletes cookies/cache/saved information when closing the program. In IE, use the 'Medium' setting, and make sure to run a firewall/virusscan program(s). You also might have your history set to be deleted after a short amount of time. Make sure it's at least as often as you use the internet, and try it again.

If that doesn't do it, when you see the "remember my password" option, look for something (a checkbox) that says "don't ask me again".

Try this one
Iexplore > Tools > Internet Options
Click on Content tab ..
Click on Auto Complete ..
Enable all four options ..
Click OK ..
See if it remembers your password ..

BTW ..Yahoo uses special scripts to disable password saving ..
