Hi everyone nice new interface, haven't needed help since a while because I've come to diagnostic things on my own, but this time i can't lol.
Ok so I'm not really sure when it started because I hadn't been on internet for a while, playing LAN with computers in my house was what I did mostly.
One time I tried entering internet and it didn't work so I tried to hook up directly to my modem and it worked, then I plugged everything back and tried entering my setup of the router (Its a D-Link DI-604) and it says ' Cannot open page (IE)
Its really weird It works for networking I can access files over my other 4 computers, but none of them can access internet since I can say about 4 days, really weird.
So I can't enter the Router setup, I tried resetting it with the reset little button, I unplugged it for about 10 minutes, to no avail.
I am presently on one of the computers hooked directly to the modem, its funny how as soon as its directly on the modem, i get pop ups on windows xp, anyhow.
I would really want to know what I can do.
PS I've also done IPCONFIG in COMMAND and it gives me a weird ip address something like 169.254.23.55 instead of 192.168.0.102???? I really doN't understand what happened to my router anyway, Thanks all I hope you guys can give me a hand and bring me back my lost smile ;D0

You can do a 'network reset'.
1) Turn all computers off.
2) Unplug all connections from the router, except the WAN connection (the one going to the modem).
3) Unplug the power cable from the modem and router.
4) Unplug the coax cable from (or phone line if you have DSL) from the modem.
5) Wait one minute.
6) Plug the coax cable/telephone line back in to the modem.
7) Plug the power back in to the router.
8) Plug the power back in to the modem.
9) Wait for the modem to reset - it usually takes between 10 and 30 seconds, and consists of the lights flashing in different patterns.
At this point, the modem should be set up, and connected to the router, but the router shouldn't have any computers connected to it yet.
10) Plug in one computer to the router, and turn it on.
11) Run the Network Setup Wizard in Windows, making sure to choose the correct network type. (I think it's the second on the list, and it mentions a residential gateway).
12) Check your connection.
If that works, repeat steps 10 - 12 on the remaining computers.
If that doesn't work... test a different router. If you only have one computer connected, and you follow those steps, it *should* work.
Maybe I'm forgetting something though, it's been a long day...
Good luck!

Ok well thanks, but the only thing I tried diffrently was powering the modem and router at the same time what would it change if i power the router before the modem?
Anyway, I still get weird IPs on my ocmputers, Networking still works no internet :S oh well....
