Router Probs

Yesterday i had bought a new router...

set it all up, opened ports to run ventrilo, finally more then just my PC with net everything seemd to work fine.. then me and my bro went to go play natural-selection. For some reason we cant both be in the same server... its like wth whats goin on. Anyone have any idea wth is with this? and maybe how to fix it, plz

This is kind of off the question but 89% of people i help with router "port forwarding mostly" have a Linksys Router!

Yeah i agree with some peoples replys, but one common problem people get with new routers espeically on an ADSL modem connection for a broadband 256kb or similar connection, get an ADSL modem with a router built in, but i would strongly say you knew this so im saying, if you have Xp with Sp2 or use server software directly like 2003 or 2000 etc server, go into Sec pol and allow selected users/admin's to control NTFS & control network shares etc, dont allow any administrator to use this, as S class network/system class users built-in will get control, and they automate weird results with new hardware, i got that prob with a University when i had to reformat their two servers and setup everything.
