disk input out put error

when i turn my compaq laptop on it reads disk input output error replace the disk, and then press any key
what is the disk that i need to replace?

Could be a loose connection inside the laptop. If you're gonna open it up be extra careful and have it on a large sheet so if anything pings out you can find it again. If in doubt get a pro to do it.
