i have recently aquired an IBM Netvista. The strange thing about this computer is that the monitor, floppy and harddrive are all part of the same unit. I have been trying to reformat the hd with bootdisks but i am also required to have a cd rom. Is there a way to wipe the hd and reinstall win xp without resorting to buying an external cd drive. All the connections on the computer are USB and i am hoping to avoid the external cd drive.

no, xp files wouldnt begin to fit on a reasonable number of floppies. youll need a cd drive. doesnt the case have room for one?
