What motherboard would be the best for running a amd 3500 chip?? i dont care about raid configuration or onboard sound(getting an audigy).

P.S. If there is a difference, all i want is an increase in gaming performance.

no help??

Err... I think you might get numerous answers acording to people's preferences in mobo manufactureres. I would go for a ASUS personally, just never had any problems with them.

okay okay...there is quite a price difference between them over here...check under motherboards.
The gigabyte one is around 200$ compared to the asus one which is about 150$ ??

I see what you mean, I have had a quick gander and the gigabyte is £150 here and the asus about £90. I personally have lost a bit of faith in gigabyte, had a pc which gave me endless problems untill i changed to a asus mobo. Personally I would go Asus.

there are a few socket 939 mobo's.

hmmm...correct me if im wrong, it seems as though the top motherboards don't have a lot of difference in performance??If so i might as well go with asus..

Posted by: zorg

Well if it was me, I would go with the asus, I asked a few friends to compare the two and all said Asus, simply because of past experiences with gigabyte.

oh ok thanks...i think ill stick with the asus!
