PCTV Remote

I have a problem where the PCTV Remote it does not work, I have a generic 56k flex card modem.. I tested the remote the test is sucessfull but it does not work with the PCTV...The modem works fine... Looks like there is a conflict of COM ports , no bangs in the device manager. Any Suggestions..
