automotive problem

I have just had my 1994 camry 1mzf engine rebuilt and the vacuum hose with the pcv valve in it is sucking oil out of the valve cover and causing the engine to smoke on start up after sitting for awhile . I changed the valve stem seals to factory ones as after market seals had been put in the engine but this did not solve the problem. I have stopped the smoking problem by making an oil catcher canister out of a water trap for an airline fom a compressor, and if I empty before it overfills, the oil is not fed back down into the engine through the plenum and therefore causing the engine to smoke on startup. Does anybody out there have any ideas why this is happening as the Toyota dealer in my niebourhood doesn't. Thankyou for any constructive help.

I don't know a whole lot about Toyotas but I assume that you changed the pcv valve? Also check the valve cover where the pcv valve/line goes into it. Some engines have a baffle there to help keep the oil from being sucked out of the engine.
