network adapter crd prblm

I just recently reinstalled Windows 2000 NT and tried to connect to the internet (i'm connected through a LAN). Unfortunately, the driver for the network adapter card was not installed. The physical card was not put in by me, and so I don't know the make or the model so I can search for a driver. I was wondering how I am supposed to find that out. Thanks!
