Yahoo has too much stuff on the site, google just has a big fat search button and a place for text next to it. So I like google more

If you're looking for quirky obscure websites, go to dogpile. google only brings up the most popular linked websites, and the most googlebombed ones.
oh and about google, I have 3 gmail invitations left, email me at dereksbox@gmail.com if you want one

I'd say Google. Yahoo is powered boy Google, so Google, to me anyways, is just Yahoo without all the junk.

Just an FYI - Yahoo no longer uses Google results. They are not powered by Google in any way shape or form. Yahoo used to use Google results to supplement there search results a while back but that has changed.

Indeed, google bases its search results on relevance to subjected terms and the amount of times someone links to that site relating to your search terms. It is the most "unbiased" search engine out there. Most of the other engines people can manipulate, or people can can for display. Google would be a good one. But a few other good ones were mentioned
www.vivisimo.com
www.alltheweb.com
www.msn.com
Msn are currently ( or they are finished) with developing their own crawler, they have been using yahoo/google results in the past, but have been testing their new bot. They use overture paid results as their first 5/6 results.
