FTP Server through Router Not Connecting

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hi everyone,

Searched the forums for the answer to my question but couldn't find anything.
Here's the problem. I'm using Serv-U on Windows XP. I use the wizard in Serv-U to setup the correct IP and dynamic domain. I set up an account and password. I try to connect from inside my LAN and I can't do it. I'm using an actiontec router provided from qwest. I tried setting up the server in the DMZ but it gave me the same response.

Should I put the server back within the LAN by turning off the DMZ and use port forwarding instead?

Thanks for your time.
