lost data on handspring treo phone from sprint

yesterday, i was reading a sms(text message) when it froze on me. It did this once before, only this time after resetting the phone, i lost all my important phone numbers that were in there. Is there a way to restore that data?(the data is on flash memory)

Not if you reset the phone. Resetting will restore factory defaults which wipes the phonebook, etc.

d#%$. im such an idiot. thanks for telling me skyhn. i didnt lose the data the first time since i took out the card before resetting the phone.

flash memory either has data or it doesnt, it cant be hidden or restored.

Yeah, the Sim card wont lose data if you take it out. But if you leave it in when you do a reset, some phones will erase the phone book and everything else similar to it thats stored on it.
