un bendable, steel, sits about 3mm off the surface so the cold hard steel puts extra pressure on my carpal tunnel. really slick, tap the desk and the mouse will slide off, kinda large. i dont know if i like it yet.
what mousepads yall got?

Ratpadz GS. I don't recommend it to anyone

Belkin mouspad with a wrist ergonomic cushion thing. Works awesome, I never get mouse hand tired.

I have a 4-year-old Everglide mousepad with Quake III Arena written on it ... haven't used the damn thing in ages, was too hard and too big to fit in my desk... right now, I just use my desk's smooth wooden surface for my optical mouse....

i have a cheap, old pos from balled mouse days. made of soft rubber. cloth surface is starting to peel. works great.....

I have a mousepad from Target with a gel wrist rest on it, cuz I tend to smash the end of the bone in my palm into my desk, so now it won't hurt as much later. It works for me.

I don't use a mousepad, I mean feminine protection for mice???LOL
I went to optical rendering a mousepad unessecary.

my desktop is a mirror, so optical mice are teh suckage for it

I had an everglide mousepad, up until I finally caved and bought an optical (a year ago).
I had the everglide since 1999, and the center radius of it was completely and totally smooth, perfect, even.

ditto on the belking + gel wrist pad....
I prefer to sit at my desk with my key board just above the point where my arms are paralell to the ground (no other way of explaining it) and my mouse is even higher..... so it tends to put extra stress on the lower right palm of my hand.... and the gel pad helps out with that.

anyone know of a gel wrist pad you wrap around your wrist?
Posted by: Maverick
yes, that would be nice
Posted by: ianelarazure
I am sure it would be nice, and very comfortable. But I am too mobile for it, it would be a hassle to have to take it off and put it back on repeatedly. Also, for FPS you would have to worry about it pulling on your wrist.
I would say for the usual office type or non-gamer, it would be fine. But gaming is almost out of the question.

My favorite geek bought me a mousepad with a tropical scene on it. Makes me remember to save money for Hawaii and not buy every new pc upgrade I can get my hands on.

I have all optical mice as well, but I need mousepads because my computer desk is glass.

What's a mousepad?
Posted by: Null Actor
I have this one: http://www.allsop.com/product.asp?cid=18&p=27814
Since my desk is pretty reflective, I need a mousepad. This one is absolutely awesome, and I'd recommend it.

I use one for nostalgia's sake, and the smoother surface allows me to move it very quickly. Its a pad i got from Scotland when I went there.
Posted by: Ocean
well ive used it for a few days, and i am loving it. allsop owns in this area i think.
i just had to learn to keep my hand a little farther forward on the mousepad to avoid grinding my wrist in the side. but the mousepad is plenty big enough for that.
