Heres the deal:

I have a friend of mine here for a few weeks and i wanted to network our computers, sans a switch or router. So i made a custom cable for this job, but nothing is happening. I made a crossover cable and was wondering if that was the correct type of cable for this situation.?

Btw both computers are using winxp pro. any more info can be provided.

thanks
Dan

both computers need to have the same network they are associated with, under computer properties
