I just bought a Linksys WRT54G Wireless Router so that my laptop can share internet with my desktop, but when i run the install cd, it gives me a failure to connect to internet message. i can connect to the internet perfectly without the router. but once i connect it it wont connect.
my desktop's runing Windows XP Home, isp is Earthlink ADSL,
router model #SP-654ME-A1,
i've tried going through the web based utility and set it up as a PPoE conection, mac-clone, but so far nothing seems to work,
can post more info if needed.

txz in advance
eddy

fixed the problem, forgot that sprint fast connect dsl places u in a network behind a router so my ip address configuration was wrong, but working now, txz for the help

Have you tried setting your computer ip address to the routers?
