Sound byte problem...

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: bellisimo

I'm running Win XP and have recently started having an annoying little problem when opening certain websites, ZNet in particular. As soon as the page opens I get a couple of "bloop!" sounds. I've gone through all my WAV sounds and can't find this particular one.

I'd appreciate any suggestions if anyone has had this problem. I'm virus free and pest free.

Thank you.

Are you sure it's not coming from your case speaker?

Posted by: bellisimo

Thanks for the response. I don't know what a case speaker is. Would you mind elaborating for me?

Oops! I take that back. Of course I know what a base speaker is. When I first read it I wasn't thinking of 'base' in terms of tone. Please disregard my question.

Thank you.

Hi jmikem825,

I checked and found that my base speaker wasn't on. So, it has to be something else.

Thanks,

B

Use the edit button if you have multiple posts in a row to say. I did mean case not base. I don't know if everyone has it, but my case has a little speaker that is connected to the motherboard in the same place as the power, power LED, hard drive LED, and reset button. Is the sound coming from your speakers or inside your case? That's basically my question.

The sound is definitely coming out of my speakers.

Thanks,

B
