Much better than the first. The first one didn't have that scary element that the games had..... zombies popping out and scaring you and what not...... but the second one was definitely able to capture that. I liked it alot.

Glad to hear it. Never played the game, but prior to the first movie I remember saying that looks really cool and got excited about going to see it- Only to leave the theatre thinking, 'what was that about?' Yeah there were a few good scenes, nothing was really scary though. I'll make sure to see the sequel.
Thanks.http://ymail.flamingtext.com/ymail/...97986_32558.gif

I saw it last night, 9/10.
SPOILER: (highlight to read) "**** your guns man, my shit is custom!"
And I really didnt think it would have a Code Veronica related ending.
Posted by: Gerbilo
sweet, i gotta go see it sometime soon

I saw the second movie just now. Much better than the first one. I recommend seeing it. It's based off the games more cloesely. It's also got a few good laughs.

You always get good laughs when Mike Epps is in a movie.
When he first came on screen, it was real quiet in the theater and I almost yelled out "TOP FLIGHT MOTHER F***IN SECURITY, CRAIG!"

are there flying dogs, this time around?

In the first movie, the zombie dogs did take unnaturally large leaps. I guess that could be akin to flying?

I must have seen the super special version that was only released in certain theatres. All I remember were flying dogs and the people behind me. About six rows behind me.

Maybe you saw a different movie, there were no flying dogs. The only thing in the entire resident evil series that flys are the infected crows and moths.

What about the bees? They fly.
Posted by: Bishop
Oh, no, it was resident evil.
At least, that's what the title says... shaun of the dead was more resident evil than resident evil.
Posted by: FadedMaster
Well, there wasn't one flying dog in Resident Evil. They jumped, but not flew.
Posted by: SKYHN
Yeah the bees, forgot about them. Everything else jumped, like Lickers, Hunters, Mr. X, Tyrant, Nemesis and the Dogs.
Posted by: Bishop
there was no tyrant in either movie.
Posted by: SKYHN
Im not talking about just the movies. Hunters, Mr. X and the bees were in the movies either along with a lot of other stuff.
Fact remains: There are no flying dogs in resident evil, game or movie.

Nice to see someone else has the same sick sense of humor I do. I tend to use that quote a bit too often and no one knows what I'm talking about.
Posted by: Bishop
what quote?
in other news: while I was waiting for nemmy to growl his line, I think that their implementation of it was pisspoor shoddy and downright wrong.

I might be wrong here, but isn't the Nemesis the same as the Tyrant? Isn't the Nemesis the same as the Tyrant, but under a different project name?

Do I need to see the first movie before I see the second? I have never seen the first but am probably going to see the second this weekend with some friends. Is there anything that I missed that will screw my mind over if I see #2?
Posted by: Bishop
So far as I can remember, nemesis is just a more advanced form of the tyrant, programmed with a specific goal and what not, while tyrant just kinda roamed the halls looking for people to eat.
who cares, anyways, RE disagrees with itself nonstop. trying to cross-reference the books and the movies into the already twisted blend of the games is just silly.
it's still the best video game movie ever, and I can't help but imagine that, if it were done right, a cpu FPS of RE (where you have to shoot the heads of the zombies to kill them) might actually be pretty cool.
of course it won't, but... maybe. They didn't botch the movie, how hard can a game be?

I now direct you to one of the WORST games ever made in the entire history of gaming. Its so bad, I almost vomit when I think about it and I cry whenever I think about the $4 i spent to rent it.

VINCENT!! VINCENT! YOUR A MURDERER!

And the first tyrant was the first experiment of that type. Nemesis is sort of similar to tyrant, but I wouldnt say their the same. Nemesis has intellegence and can be controlled. Tyrant is just a crazy mofo. Mr. X is like an 'improved' tyrant. (Mr. X has always been my favorite, cuz hes a quiet crazy mofo)

Hahaha, I remember that one. Oh hell that was horrible. That game took, what? Less than an hour to beat? Hahaha, god... it reminded me of House of the Dead, so bad it was good.

I rented it and after 10 mins, I felt a uncontrolable urge to vomit. My friend wanted to try it so I took it over to him and he sat there and beat it in 57 mins and then said "I just wasted 57 minutes of my life".

I was wondering if this movie is any good. My cousins fruitty friend said that "That movie is FLA, it started FLA and it ended FLA. It has no story, it's FLA". What he meant in 'FLA' was that movie was flaW. For some reason that idiot thinks 'FLA' is cool. He kept saying "it's FLA without the w, it's cool'. What an idiot. Anyways, I don't think I'm going to listen to that fool, so I'm hoping that someone here can tell me if this movie is worth seeing or if it is 'FLA'.

Well I am a resident evil buff seeing as I mind numbingly played the game 24/7 so post some questions if ya need help i have beaten everyone of em except outbreak and code veronica came so close but my ps 2 broke they always break godamn sh*t ****s
Posted by: wordno
Yeah I'm have beaten all the RE games to except the garbage fps. I love the game and have them all, so I'm hoping this movie will be as good as the game.
Posted by: Bishop
clearly I was not talking about survivor, as there have been numerous RE fps games for the consoles and, of course, they all suck.
also, I mentioned specifically PC version.
Posted by: SKYHN
There have only been 3, and only 2 of them came out in the U.S. The japan only one is pretty good from what Ive read. Its for PS2 and arcade and the PS2 version works with Light Guns.
Posted by: sidefx52
As a person who has never played a RE game, but has seen both movies, I liked the first movie much more than the second. It had that psychological, mess with your mind atmosphere to it.
The second one just had random zombies popping up. There wasn't any real suspense as to when the next bad thing would happen. It was just easy to assume that something was going to pop out when they went around that corner/opened that door/turned around.
I was happy to see Mila's ta-tas at the end though.
