Keyboard limits?

Aparently my keyboard has a problem with me trying to give it 3 commands at once. Normally this isnt an issue, but trying to jump+duck and walk forward is almost impossible. Ive looked through most of the options and i cant seem to find where this is. Im positive my computer should be able to handle it, i just need to know where that option is.

anyone?

What kind of keyboard is it? Any modern keyboard shouldn't have the problem you describe unless there's somekind of conflict. If the keyboard is USB, make sure you have USB keyboard support enabled in your CMOS. Also, you may have better luck if you plug it into a different USB port.

usb compaq keyboard, i will try that

To my knowledge a lot of old keyboards only support up to three simultaneous commands at most - I've experienced similar problems myself on some older machines. But practically any modern keyboard (especially since it's USB) should support multiple simultaneous inputs rather well.
Of course it also sometimes depends on the program/game, and also maybe because your keyboard is made by Compaq...

keyboards onlly about 3 years old, programs half-life so i know is should take more commands than that, but maybe i will try another one...

check windows accessability option (for handicapped users)
maybe theres a safety setting so people dont hit more than 3 keys at a time. just a modifier key
