Black Border around game (Blizzard site no help)

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hiya, I am experiencing black border around my game.... my game appears in a small window in the middle of the screen. This happens after I downloaded the new Omega drivers v.2.5.76 on my i8600 notebook, but I am not sure whether that is the problem...

My system is:
Dell Inspiron 8600
Intel Pentium M 755 2.0 GHz
15"4' WUXGA Ultra Sharp Screen (1920x1200)
60GB Ultra ATA 7200RPM Performance HD
128MB DDR ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo
1024MB 333Mhz PC2700 DDR SDRAM
Running Windows XP Home Edition

Bliz support site suggests I run 640 x 480 resolution to solve this problem, but my display settings does not support this resolution... Any other suggestions? Uninstall omega??

LCDs run at a single resolution, that game will not play at your LCDs native resolution.

you need to find an option called referred to as "scalling"

probably only your default inspiron drivers will give you a means to access the lcd scaling option, as well as other settings such and color balance etc.

it is an issue between your lcd screen and wherever the settings are to modify it at a hardware lvl.

typically on the on screen display in desktop monitors.

here's an example:

and these drivers might have the option:

Thanks Ocean that was helpful.. I will try to locate the scaling option

Update: Found it. I should choose the 2nd option "Expand while maintaining aspect ratio" rather than the first option "Expand to full panel size" right? Whats the difference between the 2?
