Where were you when you first saw Star Wars?

Just a little topic I thought about as I finished watching the DVDs 
I first saw Star Wars after we moved to a new house in 1980, and I was about seven years old. My dad bought a new Betamax player and the tapes he had were Deer Hunter, The Aristocats and Star Wars.
The first time I heard the opening music, and saw the Imperial Star Destroyer come into frame, I knew I was hooked...
I watched the same film again everyday for a whole week, and then we watched Empire Strikes Back at the theater later that year...

I dont remember, cuz I was born the same year Return of the Jedi came out. I think I saw it sometime in the 80's though.

I saw the first movie when it came out in the theatre's (about 12 times). I believe I was about 15 or 16 at the time. Yeah, I was hooked too.

the first time i saw starwars(the whole way threw) was in the theaders (episode 1) then i went home and dug out my cusins copys of starwars and watched all of them

I first saw Star Wars some time in 1991 when I was 5...before that my parents didn't think I would understand it.

Summer holidays, 7 years ago at my godfather's. I was already a Star Trek fan, but as for Star Wars I only knew the saga by name. Handing over a tape of Episode IV, he told me I'd like it - and he was correct, to say the least

If I remember well, it was in 1980 when the "Empire Strikes Back" came out. The theater I went to had a double feature, showing "Star Wars" and "Empire Stikes Back" in one loooonng session. I was hooked.... I was 18... I was in love...
The same theater showed all three in a row when "Return of the Jedi" came out. Damn we spend a whole day in the theater that time

[B]I was 17 it was 1977 I believe it was summer in the suburbs out side of Pittsburgh,PA .
Me and some friends twisted one up in the parking lot in anticipation of a cool specil effects movie to go with the special effects enhancer in our brains.
I can't remember...ah yes ....hmm m ooh yeah............

I think I was born watching the first one. I had all three on VHS as early as I remember, and I watched them so much as a kid, I wore out all the tapes.

I was 5 or 6. I watched it by unscrambling our old cable box with the fine-tune button. I ended up watching it on HBO at least 20 times that summer. It was a very good summer.

I drove out to a movie theater in a nearby town to see what it was all about since the reviews had praised it so highly. It was awesome and I'm still a fan today.

wow, I can't really remember when i saw it for the rist time, but i do remember seeing that other old movie that was about the ewoks, and then a few years later, when I saw the SWs movie and I was like, "OMG!!! it's teh ewoks!!!"
