what are gif files used for and can they be deleted?
once again I'm on a quest of ridding windows 98se of anything that is of no use, ultimite goal is to have a OS with the least amount of files needed to still operate.
I know, just can't leave well enough alone.

a gif file is a picture file, Graphic Interchange Format, it's almost like a JPG or JPEG picutre, it's just compressed differently and can do a little more than JPGs can
