Battlefield 1942 problem

I have been playing BF 1942 for a while. Lately, when I am searching for a game that I would like to join, if I don't find one in less than a minute, I get disconnected from the Internet. Then i have to close the game, reconnect, and start game over.Once I join a game, Everything is fine. I have SBC yahoo. and I just downloaded service pack 2.
I appreciate any help.

My only guess might be SP2. Heard nasty things about that and online gaming...
