Hi,
I've posted a Q on CRC error yesterday...
I'm sorry i'll not post Qs like that any more.. Please take my apologies for that...
I respect the people who create these products .... and they have to be given due credit for their effort and wonderful creattions.. Since i myself is a Software Developer.. i know what it takes to create ..
Yes, i had a pirated cd, ( burnd frm my frnds cd) ... I'll (everyone in fact ) love to have an Original cd... but why do we go for an pirated one..? because they are cheap..
S its true that Quality cannot be cheap ... ?
Look at this comparison...
A Cricket 2004 game (PC) costs some 28 Euros ....but here its 999 Rupees..!
I want to ask a Q to an English buyer.. will he buy a game if its 999 Euros..????
This is the same case almost all the cds...
We in group get a cd and share them.. and this is what happened here...!
Once again I'm sorry for my post...

Depending on what Rupees you're talking about (Indian or Pakistani), a 28 Euro game is 1500-2000 Rupees. You're getting it cheaper

Yup.. its defn cheaper...put thse currency conversions behind... put yourself in a position where u buy a game for near 1000 bucks...?

Umm, what? That doesn't make sense. 1000 bucks are not the same as 1000 rupees, they've different values. Just as with many other forms of currency. What you are saying is like buying something worth a block of gold, for a block of copper or something, but since you have to use that tremendous block to buy it, that it's a lot, even though copper is cheap as hell.

Many of us in the United States can't afford games either. Your math is a bit off, though... 999 Rupees is about 21 US dollars or 18 Euros, which would be a decently cheap game for most people. 1 Rupee is not equal to 1 dollar, so games that cost 999 Rupees would not cost 999 Dollars.
However, this doesn't change the fact that "piracy" is illegal here, and we don't allow discussion of illegal activities on these boards.

I do not condone this either, but coming from differnet a differrent country into the uk, I can understand what he is trying to relay to you.
If you earn 100 US dollars in the us and the game costs you 21 dollars this is relatively affordable, if you earn 1000 rupees in india or wherever 999 rupees for the game is expensive. it is all about the buying power of your currency, I was in similar positions in South Africa where a game would and could cost up to 500 rand, this was half my salary at that stage, now a game still costs the same ( when you convert it) but it is only like 1 30th of my salary in the uk, so i can afford it. All about buying power.
This does not make piracy ok though, If you have to buy a game and share, the you need to do just that, share the cd and take turns in playing it. Good luck as to deciding who gets the original at the end of the day :P

We're sorry if the game is too expensive kmughill, but as Shal said, piracy is not supported or encouraged in this site.
Keep in mind that one of the biggest reasons why the price of games keep going higher, and why more and more games employ those annoying copy protection schemes, is because of piracy...
