FF XI install problem, plz help

i went to install ff 11 and everything was going smoothly untill the playonline update started downloading, it kept freezing up but i found coming out of it and downloading again worked, but now its stuck on the last 9% and will not go any further, i sometimes get error messages saying theres a fault in my connection, but ive checked it and it seems to be ok, i really need help, any ideas would be appreciated. thanks

A friend of mine had the same problem, he phoned PlayOnline and they told him to do the following:
Start/Run then type "msconfig"
goto the startup tab and disable everything
PlayOnline should update perfectly then, but remember to enable everything afterwards...

That happened to my friend as well, disable your firewall before you install it, once it was getting to a certain percentage on his machine, it was being blocked.
