Need help running FFxi: direct3d problem

I have some trouble running Final Fantasy 11. Whenever I try to play the game, the screen goes black and then suddenly goes back to normal. Plus, I get this message from PlayOnline:
"Terminated as error occurred in FINAL FANTASY XI. Failed to initialize Direct3D. PLease check that this computer has the required specifications to run FINAL FANTASY XI. (-1)"
My Graphic Card ATI x800xt
FFxi had been working fine ever since i installed it, until i moved my computer to another place. Everything about the computer stayed exactly the same except for the monitor. PlayOnline works perfectly fine.
Ive tried to:
run Directx Diagnostic =no problem
install the new monitor's driver [Dell 19'' 1800FP]
check my graphics card driver update = i am not sure if i did it right... not sure about procedures
I am really obligated to reinstall ffxi again as it takes hours to install. That would be my last resource.
Please Help me!!!

try uninstalling the vga driver, and then re-install the vga driver.

go to Start-Setting-Control Panel-Add-Remove Program,
you'll see ATi VGA Driver and then choose uninstall
choose to restart computer afterward and install the new catalyst driver

Under Add/Remove Programs i see
ATI Software Uninstall Utility
ATI Control Panel
ATI Display Driver
I didnt see ATI VGA Driver

FFxi still has the same problem.
Because I also encountered some problems installin the display driver only, i uninstalled all the ATI softwares with the ATI Software Uninstall Utility, and downloaded the package and einstalled everything.
Pleease help >.<

so the new drivers are installed and the game still crashes?

yup... ffxi just cannot load...
if i reinstall ffxi would the problem still exist?
Also just for reference, when i reinstalled the ATI drivers, i recieved a message that says "Zero Display Service Error" in a message box that says "Severe". I don't know what that means, but it doesnt seem to affect the drivers.

before you install new copy of ffxi, you should ask around some more..
i don't know what else to suggest..
i'm thinking maybe while you're moving the pc somewhere else, the graphic card went loose (from it's socket).. it happened to me sometimes.
maybe you should check it but i don't recommend it since it's not practical (opening the pc case, detach your card dan re attach it-but before you must first uninstall the graphic driver.)
Let's try this, run dxdiag and notice any warning from it
