Restart during WC3

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I had this same problem a while back and thought it was fixed, but it wasn't. I didn't bother to post on here that I was still having the problem because it wasn't bothering me too much. Now it is really getting on my nerves and I want to fix it. When I am playing Warcraft 3, my computer will randomly restart in the middle of a game. I ran Asus Probe and while I was playing I checked it and all temperatures were fine.

Asus A7N8X-X
Athlon XP 3000+ 400 FSB w/Vantec Aeroflow TMD fan
30 gig + 6 gig HDs (both 7200 RPM)
50x CD-ROM
Geforce 2 MX 100/200
350 watt ghetto power supply
4 case fans
512MB DDR3200

Before I bought the new mobo, CPU, and RAM, I was running some Celeron socket Shuttle board with 2 ghz Celeron and 256MB of DDR2100, and I never had this problem.

Would the new processor suck up more power and this possibly be the cause for the restarts?

Help! I was typing on Warcraft, telling someone how every time I play my computer restarts, and I restarted....then I was in the middle of a game search...and I restarted. This is gay.

Anyone know?

Has this problem surpassed the knowledge of all the OPS dwellers, or does no one like me?

Anyone?

Hehe could be a virus. Or your comp is overheating in a place you cant measure temp. Don't ask me where that is, though because I don't know. Just speculation. Also make sure all power cords and cables are secure and such.

Have you tried running it for a couple days? Regardless of all your fans it sounds like a heat issue. The virus theroy sounds likly as well.

A reinstall of warcraft can never hurt.

Do you have any other high demend programs (fps, photoshop etc) that you run with no problem?

I dont think it's a virus becuse I have AVG set to update and run every morning. I will try reinstalling WC3.

It's not WC3...I was playing a Java game online and I restarted.
