question regarding parsed url

i was just wondering why some forum doesn't like people post parsed url in the posts... thanks a bunch

you mean why dont some forums parse them automatically, or why do some not allow it?

ive heard some sites have the ability the see your last site if you do a click through (i dont know though) and in some cirumstances that can be bad. like if there is a free mousepad deal somewhere deep in the web. big sites dont want it known that they may be sending alot of people to get free stuff.
thats one possible logic that hardocp, deals forum utilizes.

I imagine that all sites can actually do that - I mean, I run my own Apache server and there's a setting that I can turn on to log referral information. It seems like a basic feature to me.
