Since my last problem (found here) seems to be replaced by a new problem..
Originally I thought only my ram got shorted but now I have my doubts..
I have a new motherboard Asus K8V Deluxe, 2 Sticks of Value line DDR ram that is compatible with my mobo..
Now like the fluke of a problem it is, my monitor displays nutzing when I try and boot the system..
Unplugged it displays the Hz. etc. and when plugged in it goes blank.
When I try to boot the machine it applies power to the motherboard and fans but I don't believe that the hard drives spin up..
So the question is Is it my power supply or the CPU? I know that 12v is used for the servos that spin up hard drives as well as provide power for my Radeon 9800 as well.. so I'm thinking that could be the problem.. or it could be my CPU since I don't believe my computer even gets to POST which could be a sign of a bad CPU..
lookin' for help..

switch out the psu and then youll know. oh, make sure the motherboard isnt shorting on something.

thanks, I found out it is the CPU and not the power supply.. no shorting either (the fans wouldn't spin up in case of shorting)
