Installing WC3: TFT

I recently had to reformat my computer due to upgrading the cpu + mobo. Unfortunately, I've lost my original WC3 CD. However, wc3 was still installed on my old computer so I swapped the files over to this comp. I also DL'd the registry for wc3 from the blizzard FTP and WC3 does show up in the control panel as installed.
However, when I put the TFT CD in and try to install, it still says "Warcraft 3 Required to Install TFT."
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? I've run out of ideas of what can be wrong:|
