Bush supporters don't know where he stands

This article is pretty scary, and shows that people really only support the man and the image, while having not a single clue what the hell he's all about.

Whats even more scary is the well informed people who still support him...

the words "war on terror" is the only thing they understand and cringe at

Kerry will WTFPWN him in the debate. Especially if dubya brings up that kerry 'voted for the war in iraq'.

good stuff, i dont know what to do with the info though.

damn, thats frightening. how could anyone think that bush favored kyoto? its not like its not in the news every week that he sneers at it.
makes me wonder if bush supporters [not necessarily reps] even pay attention to the real news, rather than the sound bites.

Republicans watch Fox News, so your right, they dont pay attention to REAL news.

George Bush was passed false information and acted upon it, angering some people and KILLING TENS OF THOUSANDS in the process.
You tell me which one is the greater fraud. Tell me, since you decided to bring Rather into a thread that had nothing to do with him.

The GOP is dead, as far as I'm concerned. Their whole platform is "bullshit them as much as you can." They're the people Bush was talking about when he said, "You can fool some of the people all of the time, and those are the ones you need to focus on."
The GOP is the party of slow, gullible middle-class people and people who hold very large chunks of stock in oil and defense companies. It's a cult run by corporations, now.

I thought, considering the previous post, that it was actually quite relevant.
let me reiterate:

Not relevant to the thread perhaps, but very relevant to SKYHN's post.
And 9er, I actually have to try to avoid your posts now that you changed your avatar. Before it was just second nature.

"Bush will not be the first president re-elected on vagaries and inconsistancies in his party's platform, his political message, or even his self-serving agendas.... He is for sure to have the electoral college in his pocket, as well as the supreme court, the people who make the voting machines, the people who count the ballots, and the people who will tell us he won by a landslide.
While this is not a democracy in any sense of the word, it is for sure what passes for democracy in our Free World, certainly the model they are touting in Iraq and Afghanistan as free elections, and I use the word "free" tongue in cheek.

Hey, isn't this why we buy into religion in the first place? For hope that good shall defeat evil?
In this case a replacement of evil with a lesser one.

I guess thats just a different way of saying you're completely clueless on how to deal with me, but whatever.

If they fire Dan Rather for what he did, the same should apply to Bush, don't you think? But I guess the supporters would find another subject to discuss in order to avoid that

I think so, especially since the gist of Dan Rather's report has never been disputed with any real documentation and since nobody died because Dan Rather lied.

You bet. They'd rather make fun of how Kerry looks while wind surfing or constantly repeating "flip-flop, flip-flop" (the new neo-con mantra). Shrub has no record worth running on, all he has is his extreme fundamentalist "Christianity" (which is just as dangerous as extreme fundamentalist "Islam").

When does the US go to Mars? Or was that right before the promise on the gay marriage amendment, which, in theory, if passed, will make the US Constitution vanish into nothingness, much like God in Dogma?

It would appear to me that my post was a good 7 hours before Laggy's...
I don't think Dan Rather should be fired, everyone makes mistakes. I was just pointing out that watching Fox news might not be the best way to get objective information, and watching CBS is the same.

Extreme fundamentalism is never a good thing.

fox news spends 21 hours a day championing George Bush and other republican rhetoric. they are not news...it is obvious propaganda. cbs on the other hand put out a story which WAS TRUE and got duped into using false documents (entirely there fault and an unbelievable stupid mistake). the story that G.W.'s dad used influence to get the shrub into the national gaurd has not been disputed, the story G.W. didn't take an ordered physical has not been disputed, the story that his service in atlanta has not been completely accounted for has not been disputed, the story that many of the kids whose parents were rich and powerful made it into the national gaurd or got defferments has not been disputed. we all know it to be true. to spend our time talking about type sets and whatnot have wasted much time and have made the republicans very happy. to say cbs and dan rather are liberals trying to help Kerry is riduculous....but to say fox news is squarely behind bush seems accurate. turn it on now...i could probably guess what they are talking about.
