Xbox controller with halo PC, help!?

ok, i have the right adaptor, software and the controller is installed but it still doesn't work on halo PC, pls help?

yes, the XBox controllers use a USB connection. It just has a different connector, so you need an adaptor

or you can hack and slash it with a usb cable and make a dedicated USB Xbox controller (or just sacrifice 1 dongle). you still need the software though..
