I have already been having the problem of random restarts while gaming since about September 8th or 9th (after I got new parts in) and that is frustrating enough. Today when someone suggests uninstalling the game and reinstalling, I uninstall and double click the CD in My Computer to reinstall. Game screen comes up like normal. *Install Game*. *Name + CD-key*. I then got the little "working" hourglass. I went to get something to drink from the kitchen, come back, and it's still "working". I press ctrl+alt+del: nothing. I click the X: do you want to end this program *End Now*. I did that about 10 times for good measure when the task manager finally pops up. It shows 2 Warcraft III Install applications. Huh, that's weird. I click one, *End Task*. I click the other, *End Task*. Repeat 2 to 3 times. Finally, it closes. I restart. First screen, second screen, (I have CD as my first boot device. Usually when I have a bootable CD it will pause on third screen and say Press any key to boot from CD....... then after it gets to a certain many ...'s, it will move on.) third screen comes up, this is a non-bootable CD, and It sits there. It does not say Press any key to boot from CD....... , it is sitting. I manually reset the computer. Same thing. I remove the CD from the drive and manually reset. Starts up. Insert CD, game screen comes up. *Install Game*, *Name + CD-key*, "working". Same thing happens along with the annoying 5 minute End Task ritual. I take out the CD and restart. When it comes back up I again try to install. I put in the CD, and the arrow cursor changed to a CD. Then it flashes on and off of a CD. It does it again.....and again....and again and again and again and again and again until I take out the CD. I clean it as best I can with my shirt and put it back in. Again and again and again and again. I try a few other CD's. Again and again and again, curse you stupid CD cursor! No game screen ever comes up with any of the CD's. I really don't feel like messing with it, so I shut down and go watch TV and eat. Shut down for a good 2-3 hours. I come back, boot up, try a CD and....AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN! Next, I come to Open Tech Support Forums and post my problem.
