if the old card is agp, you can use it in the agp slot. if its pci, it has to go in a pci slot.

I will state the question in a better way....The new motherboard is a AGP 8x slot, the exact motherboard is a elitegroup 648fx-a! The Nividia card is a AGP 2x video card.
So I was wondering if someone can help me with this, can I use an 2x AGP card in a 8x AGP slot?
Thanks

Yes, You can use your old agp card, however it will remain pretty slow. The 8x socket is backwards compatible, however you're old 2x agp card will only run at 2x not 8x.
