I have recently purchased diablo to and have yet to get it to run. My problem is that when running the video test it says "No video modes found!" and that my computer was not capable of running diablo 2. Now my computer is pretty new and I have had no problems running any other games. I've went through the guide at the blizzard technical support section and have DirectX 8.0a and the Detonator 3 drivers for my video card. I just don't understand what else I can do to get this to work and I'm kinda upset that I havnt been able to play this game. Anyone that may be able to help please reply or send me an e-mail at naiiz7@aol.com. Thank you.

Yes I have set my graphics acceleration to full and have the latest drivers as far as I know. I dont know how to enable direct draw or direct 3d other than my DirectX diagnostics and it is already enabled there. I looked through my bios and couldnt find the clk thing they were talking about. Thats one reason I came here because Blizzard hasnt been much help.

Update your chipset drivers if you haven't already. You probably have an AMD Northbridge. You can grab the latest AGP miniport driver from the link below.

You also might try using another detonator driver out. I always use the WHQL drivers as they tend to be the most stable. I recommend the 14.10 WHQL drivers. You can grab them from the below link.

I downloaded both the things you suggested Ion and the same thing. I do have a couple questions about installing the drivers though. When I downloaded the detonator drivers it just unzipped them to the temp folder..is there something else I need to do? Also if I have a previous driver do I need to uninstall that one to get the new one to work? About the chipset drivers...It went to the installation screen and seemed like it installed so fast I didnt even see it...I clicked next then right after finished. If I'm doing something wrong please let me know and thanks for the help anyways.

You're probably still using the old driver.
Goto the control Panel and click on the System icon. Now goto the device manager and double click on the video adaptor heading. Select the Geforce heading for your card in the sub-menu and right click. Select properties.
You should see a driver tab at the top of the menu. Select it and then click the update driver icon. Have it point to the temp directory and the new driver should show up in the search. It may prompt you that the driver is older. Go ahead and install the 14.10 driver.
Post back and let us know if it works or if you need more help.
