Centrino (sp?)

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I was wondering what anyone can tell me about it. Is it any good? On the commercials with the Blue Man Group (Damn they rock), it advertises it as being safe. I was wondering if anyone could give some non-biased info on it. (I've just recently found love in AMD Haha).

The Pentium-M that's in Centrino systems is a very good mobile processor. I don't have any numbers handy, but I believe it's one of the best ones out there for power consumption and heat

The Pentium M dothan (with centrino technology) is a very capable and well-designed chip for notebooks/lappies. See:

centrino defines not only the processor, but the intel motherboard, and the intel wireless networking.

if you lack one of those componants, like instead having a netgear wireless card, it wont be centrino anymore, even though it may have the pentium m (which is the best laptop chip for power consumption and low heat) and the intel pentium m motherboard (which is also great for power consumption).

Thanks guys. That cures my curiousity, and that link really helps too.
