Doom 3 Installation Trouble

Please Help.
Im trying to install Doom 3 onto my computer. The problem is that when Im installing the third or so file, it seems like my cd-rom stops communicating with my hard drive. Ive tried to use 2 different cd-roms and 2 different hard drives for the installation and I have no idea whats wrong with it. The file it gets caught on is Pak002.pk4. This is a brand new game that I purchased at Best Buy. Any assistance would be appreciated.

A better idea would be to try to install the CD on a whole different pc... Well that will make it sure that the CD has something wrong with it...If so, just return it back to where you bought it from! Check technical support, maybe they will help you out with that...
