Installing Problems

Every Time I go to try to install a game or any othertype of software my computer sase this system file is not sutibal for running microsoft DOS and microsoft windows applications choose close to terminate the application and it gives me two choices
"Close" or "Ignore" if i say ignore the program terminates and if i say close the program terminates
My Specs are:
Pentinum 4
Direct X 9.1
512mb Ram
107gb Hard drive
Geforce 2 FX
If you need any more info please tell me and if you can find out how to fix this problem the info. would be greatly appreciated

You may want to check windows update for application compatibility patches. I believe there was a fix available for some programs. From what I understand though, there are still some applications that don't work right with SP2 installed.


You also might want to check for any spyware or viruses present. If you had any before the SP2 upgrade, it can contribute to the above problems more. In such case, your best bet IMO is to do a system restore or reinstall to a fresh clean point with no spyware or viruses if applicable and then download SP2 again.
