(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

ok mim not sure where to begin, this comp is new(to me) and the sound card was being gay... it didnt have the right drivers but had the name of the right driver, so i dled them drivers THEN after they were installed it said i needed to insert the cd(a cd from the drivers manufacterer) so i clicked cancel, now in device manager or whatever it says the sound card is working properly but im not geting any sound... but my sound card is beeping, ie in mIRC when i get a msg i get a beep from my soundcard(not speakers) instead of sound out my speakers... now the speakers are in the right hole... also these arnt the speakers that came w/ this computer there from MY computer so they do work, the ones w/ this comp i lost the power adpater... these new speakers dont need a plug though, could that be something? (old speakers had a wall plug too, new speakers dont...)

im running win2000 and the sound card is philips seismic edge audio

i updated my windows 2000 onboard sound driver (nforce mobo) from windows update several times and they were broke.

Oh.. I see. You can convert BMP --> JPG thru MSPaint. I do it all the time =/

not on win2k though

download irfan view. small light fast, does alot. just dont make it your default program unless you have a plan to change the ugle as ass default icons.

make a fake readme file with the same name and try to point it to that, or burn a cd with that in the directory.
