Final Fantasy Xi Help

Basically, i bought a new graphics card which was the Gforce 4000 one.... installed the game and i got to the main menu. Come to create a character.... it kinda dies on me and the sound plays for the next menu, but there is no picture. Also if i move the arrow keys about.... i can hear the sound of menu clicking. What is going on?
(PS it plays the Intro video no problem)
