Mouse only works every other reboot

Got a weird problem with a wireless mouse. It works fine, but then when you reboot, it doesn't work, but then when you reboot again, it works. So every OTHER reboot the mouse works. All current drivers are installed. As well as the software. Uninstalled and Reinstalled 4 times now, hasn't changed.

Could be coincidental with the "every other boot thing" but are the batteries fresh?

Yes, batteries are brand new
