Right click feature takes so long!

When I use the right click feature; for example when I right click the start button to access explore it takes a very long time to pop up? It's so frustrerating do you know what I can do to fix this? Thanks

Your system stats may have an influence on the speed. Especially if you have low memory, or a lot of programs using up your memory.

Right clicking is not the fastest way to access explorer. The best way to get to it is to hit the Windows key+E at the same time.

Click on 'Start', then 'Run', then in Regedit, then click 'OK.' Then navigate to...
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\ then on the right pane double click on 'MenuShowDelay' and change the value to 'o' ...That should do it.

I'll race ya. Windows key+E vs. accessing the menu. I win. :P

eh i miss read the first post. i only read into the right click menu inside windows. not the explore the start menu. you win.

Actually he probably just wanted faster opening menus anyway.

I actually use the 'Windows key+E' technique for accessing explorer, however having to wait forever for a right click menu is very frustrating because of the stupid default value in some registry settings. Not to mention there are going to be times when right click is something a person wants to use for other computer related tasks. which for me would be copy and paste as one example.
