it's a usual question and i don get it what to do. well i stoped the xp firewall,
i tick on leting other ppl access my file and i add 6112 and 127.0.0.1 .
i think my computer, external is letting the 6112 port but internal which is the modem
is stoping 6112port going through. my modem is Nokia Ni500 and this moderm doesn't
download the gateway ip, subnet ip and all that automaticaly. i had to put it manually and
i did. Internet s working. hm.. i think i hav to do port fowording(excuse spelling bro) or
somthing and i don't know how to do that and wot wesites to go to. when i try to invite
someone it keeps saying take the firewall off and let 6112 go through. and how ? i did
turn the firewall off and all that hm.. i think i have to set up my moderm or soming ah?
cool. i will be waiting for ur reply. cheers bro.

From what I found, that modem is indeed a router and you need to configure its port forwarding settings. I had difficulty finding documentation for the modem/router, and if you can't figure out what to do yourself, I can dig some more for the documentation,

yeh can u do that for me please. i can find how to port fowarding my router. i was trying hardcore
finding how to portfoward my router. and i cant. i wrote my router ip adress in explorer and nothing show up. hm. sorry

Well, I found the documentation, and the reason that typing your router's internal IP address into Internet Explorer's address bar doesn't work is because the router doesn't have a Web interface. To configure it, you will need to use Telnet. Click Start, click Run, type telnet 192.168.7.1 and hit Enter. You will be prompted for a password, and the default is "Ni500" without the quotes.

Unfortunately, it does not appear that the router supports any method of port forwarding. However, I believe that you can disable NAT and have the router act as a bridge. I hate to do this, but at this point, I would like you to please contact your ISP or Nokia and ask them how this is done. There are certain settings that you can fool with but may render your Internet connection unusable, and since I do not own this router myself, I do not know exactly what to do. Good luck.
