Mouse profile problems

hey guys,
I got a logitech mx510 mouse the other day. Having a problem finding a good peice of software for multiple mouse profiles. So I can set-up a profile for IE, firefox, or different games. I have logitech's mouseware 9.8 software, but it only lets you set-up one profile. I've tried Mircosoft's intellipoint. But it only seems to support up to 5 buttons. Though I did notice that there is a newer version I haven't tried yet. But I haven't noticed any mircosoft mouses that have the 3 extra buttons around the scroll wheel.
Looking for any recommendations. I dl'ed something off of logitech's web-page. But it doesn't seem to do anything. Each time I try to config a profile with-in that. It's locks that profile in place. It's not switching from one profile to the next when I'm lauching a game.

Profiles? Please elaborate for all of us mono-profile mouse users.

If I lauch IE, my mouse will have a certain profile of what each button is config'ed to do. If I lauch Firefox it will change to a new config. If I lauch a game it will switch to a new config. I know mircosoft has software for 5 buttons. But not 8 button mouses. Though it is a logitech mouse.
