I purchased a game on the internet and had to download the trial version of the game to enter the activation code that was sent to me by email....I had been using the game online, but have cleaned my cache etc. I downloaded the trial version, did the install, and when I tried to open the game, I got a blue screen with the following error message:
BCMCMCCP(01)+ 00000175 Error: OD :0028 :C162EEB5 Removed the download with add/remove and did another download...message was the same except for the final series..it changed to C1667EB5.... I have cleared my device manager..had a conflict, removed and reinstalled the game...same results. My modem is a BCM.V90..any connection? When I do a control/alt/del to shut down excess programs I find a BCMCMCCP which I can close and still connect to the internet....I am at a loss as to what I should do...I have also found through trial and error that I can download small games from the net, as long as they are not large files. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions will be appreciated
Thanks
jiggs

make sure that when you download, youre saving to disk, and not opening. and run some virus and spyware scans, that process isnt listed anywhere that i can see.
