OK, Any Help please

When i had Windows Me i was able to play SIMS 2 fine, now that i have installed Windows Xp The sims 2 does not work. At all. Everytime i have tried to play this prompt comes up: "Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system. Please make sure you have a DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer."

Then when i go to the DirectX diagnostic Test , this comes up:"Hardware-accelerated Direct3D 9 is not available because the display driver does not support it. You may be able to get a newer driver from the hardware manufacturer."

I do not know what to do.... Have tried everything. There was a little information on another forum That was able to guide me, But i didn't know what it meant by: But you must have installer for direcx9.0b and directx9.0c. I didn't know that there were 2 directx, that had to be installed.

Any kind of Suggestions would be of great help thanks.

You need to install the latest drivers for your video card, and most likely you're using the default Windows VGA drivers. What kind of video card do you have?
