I read a post from blahblah4312, a lot of great help guys/gals? At 1st I couldn't get a servers list. I mean I went to the extent and deleted everything that had to do with C.S. and went for a fresh install retail HL/CS 1.0.0.1 (out of the box) and done mappack & updated to the newest version! I couldn't get a list of servers with my firewall up! I dropped the firewall and the problem is solved! I now can get a list of servers! I never had the problem until the recent update, always left my firewall turned on! The problem is, and I know there are honest people out here so this only concludes to the dishonest cheaters out here, I want to be able to still run my firewall up while playing the newest version of C.S.! Any solutions?

Hmm...the newest CS version must have changed ports or added a port for the voice chat.

You need to find which ports it uses (your firewall software may have the auto-alert option, which will show you if it is enabled) and unblock those in your firewall.

What firewall?

I have Black Ice for a firewall. I never used to have the problem, I have tried to ad the servers I.P.'s and now it will bring up a list of servers but when it is done getting the list, the screen goes blank? Result, no list and no one on line playing? I appreciate all the help and if I know something, I'll help out also!

Hmmmm Black Ice, i realy don't like that firewall. And the only thing that could be wrong is what TR said. You firewall may not allow the ports from the new patch.
