(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Im seting up at network at the moment and for the moment I have 2 computers on it...

The Host pc is using windows xp pro and the other pc is using windows xp home.

The host computer's internet connection is coming from a wireless usb device that is reciving
the connection from a friends router in the next appartment...

TO THE POINT.... I cant set up internet connection sharing for some reason on the host... i get this message:

http://www.geocities.com/gmoutlander/ipconflict.JPG

also, do i need to be trying to set it up on the ethernet card, or the wireless connection?

grrrrr, i dont normally have a problem with doing this, but i dont normally try it with wireless...

If anyone can tell me how to correct the problem listed in the screen shot, please let me know...

Change the second client on the lan to DHCP. ICS should be enabled for the Ethernet card that connects to the other computer.

Check the properties for the network card. Check "Obtain an address automatically".
