CD-Key Help

I installed Warcraft III on my system, but when i try to connenct to battle net it says i have a invalid CD-Key or "if you are using a modem make sure you are manually connected to the internet before trying to connect to battle.net" or something similar. I am connected to the internet at all times, and was wondering if anyone knows how to help me

Did you install the game with a CD-key you got from a keygen?

I dont know, i got the key fror a friend cause i borowed the game from him. If the case is that it was from a key-gen, can i make it work?

If the key was from a key-gen, there is an extremely small chance that Battle.net will accept it. This is because Blizzard keeps track of all the CD-keys they ship out to stores.
