I dont know if I want to continue playing

After reading my guild forums the other night(we play several different games), Ive found that WoW just cant live up to EQ2. Yesterdays patch didnt cause a database crash and require a massive rollback of all characters. I mean, if blizzard is unable to provide us with 28 hour+ downtimes and rollbacks, I just cant see paying for the game.

You are right, maybe server stability wise, Blizzard is still a "work-in-progess", but game play wise, I can't see how EQ2 is ever going to beat WoW.

SKYHN, what level is your Undead Warlock now?

Posted by: SKYHN

He would be level 38 and has half of exp to get to 39.

Wow... you have the money for the mount? Or you going to summon one?

I, for one, enjoyed your sarcasm.

I understand SKYHN don't worry

how often does EQ have 28 hour downtimes?

sony just kinda rapes peoples accounts whenever, and most will continue on playing. i really hope somehow someway, sony can get sued for the amount of time lost. many courts have ruled that those items actually do have real life value. there has to be a loophole.

i heard of admins just walk around and "demote" characters to n00bs again. especially with the orignial eq.

ive heard aliens abduct people. especially remote farmers.

I can attest that both of the above statements are true in some respect.

I heard that in the FF version of MMORGP, not sure if it's X or XI, if you die you will have to pay more monthly fee to play that game, this is Square Soft's way to keep noobs out, is this true?

Posted by: redwench

does that even sound reasonable?

Posted by: INeedHelp

I don't know I mean it would be a strange thing to do but it does help keep all the n00b players out, I heard that in the General Chat in while I was playing World of Warcraft.

Posted by: redwench

why would they want to do that? they are trying to make a profit. aside from that, everyone dies many many times in mmorpgs. n00b or not.

=(

Red you are still playing EQ? Come WoWing with us!

Posted by: Ocean

im gonna pick up the game soon. its cheaper than dating and my cash is getting low with christmas and social events.

Your going to hear a lot of things in General chat on every MMO about every other MMO. About 80% of it is BS, 15% true, 5% true with some imbelishing.

The EQ2 Friday Primetime patch that caused the database to corrupt and the 28+ hour downtime and character rollback that followed are true.
